
Spice Roasted Chickpeas
Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans), boost intestinal health, are a fiber rich food…providing a feeling of fullness. They make a great snack as well! They also help women with hormonal balance. This recipe includes turmeric….great for gut and inflammation!

- Total Time: 50-60 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp curry powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp allspice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp fresh ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp chili powder… or more to taste
- 2 (16oz) cans organic chickpeas
- 1 ½ Tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°
Combine all spices. Any remaining mixture can be stored and used as a rub for meat and poultry.
Drain chickpeas and rinse
In a bowl, combine chickpeas with the oil. Add 2 Tbsp of the spice mixture and salt.
Spread the peas in one layer on the cookie sheet or shallow roasting pan. Place in oven, back until golden and crisp…about 30-40 minutes. Let cool to room temp. Add more salt and pepper to taste.
Serve or store in airtight container. (♥Tip: if they become soggy, re-bake until crisp)
