I am all about simple consistent lifestyle strategies to help you feel better in your skin, become leaner, and definitely stronger.
Here are (5) of my favorite that are massive game-changers in feeling and looking your best!
1.) Hydration (with Benefits)-
Drinking enough water throughout the day (and adding in digestive benefits like lemon, Aloe Vera juice, chia seeds) will not only help with overall digestion but will boost your metabolism by as much as 30 percent! As a baseline focus on half your weight in ounces each day.
2.) Getting Enough Quality Sleep-
“Quality” being the keyword here. Our body needs that time to rest, repair and restore overnight so it can work efficiently throughout the day to digest and use energy. Creating a healthy nighttime “wind-down” routine is important to set yourself up for success. Creating a nighttime ritual, turning off tech 1-2 hours before bed (put on those blue-blocker glasses), going to bed and getting up about the same time every day, no spicy food, sugar, or eating too close to bed.
3.) Practice the fundamental5(TM) –
Protein, Fat, Fiber, Greens and Superfoods/Spices on every plate! You need “plate diversity” at every meal. Protein, MCT’s like coconut oil and Omegas will help your body burn more fat and build muscle. Lots of colorful veggies and fiber! Don’t forget the spices!!! 4.) Ditch fructose and processed foods-
This one is a no-brainer! It never serves us. Opt for blood sugar balancing, plant-based sweeteners like monk fruit or stevia (or) a little pure maple syrup/raw honey here and there in small amounts as it does contain added health benefits. Try monk fruit in my Superfood Freezer Fudge.
5.) Get Moving-
I love 20-30 max Interval/ HIIT/ Tabata Training workouts. They have changed my body! These burst training exercises are the quickest way to burn fat!
