
Whether it’s travel, stress, eating poorly, antibiotics or toxins in our environment our gut takes a hit from time to time. I recently got to share my tricks for better gut health on KTLA in Los Angeles, CA.
Resetting your gut starts with setting yourself up to fuel your body properly every day! I recommend starting your day with 20-30 oz Room temp/warm water.
Our bodies can become dehydrated while we sleep… or we allow ourselves to get dehydrated throughout the day so we go to bed that way! That is why it is so important to hydrate first thing in the morning.
My favorite kind of water is water with benefits:
You can use something as simple and cheap as a 32 oz mason jar…fill with room temp water and tablespoon of chia seeds (they are rich in omegas, protein, fiber and magnesium…which women tend to be especially low in). A pinch of sea salt — for mineral and electrolyte content — and 1/2 lemon to help detox and reset the kidneys.
Another great combination is to add 1/2 Lemon and 2 tablespoons of Soothing/calming Aloe Vera juice to your water to coat the gut lining.

I also recommend taking a great digestive probiotic to make sure you are putting enough of the good guy “bacteria” to help with digestion, bloating. . I really like Amare. Email me if you want details on the supplements I use myself every day.
